Atomiver s.r.o. is proud to announce that, in collaboration with its industrial partner COC, have successfully synthesized a 3 kg batch of SC-GN3 material in a 100 L reactor.
This achievement represents a crucial step toward industrial-scale production of graphene derivatives and a tangible proof of our ability to scale the chemistry of next-generation carbon materials from laboratory to pilot scale.
What is SC-GN3?
SC-GN3 is a nitrogen-superdoped graphene derivative produced via patented fluorographene chemistry. It combines graphene’s high conductivity with diamond-like structural features, achieving exceptional energy and power densitywhen used in supercapacitor electrodes. Beyond energy storage, this material offers promising potential for hybrid energy systems, micro-mobility, and aerospace applications.
Why this matters
Scaling nanomaterial synthesis is one of the toughest challenges on the path from discovery to market. Producing kilograms of SC-GN3 in industrial reactors demonstrates the maturity and reproducibility of our process, which is a decisive leap toward commercialization.
Under the support of the European Innovation Council (EIC) Transition project TRANS2DCHEM, we have now successfully up-scaled our synthesis from grams to kilograms, bridging the gap between laboratory innovation and industrial implementation.
